Adopted A Troop In Afghanistan
The Plano Softball team donated their own softball equipment to a troop in Afghanistan so they could play the game they love the most the game of softball! PFC Sanders returned home from his tour and presented the team with a signed bat from his troop to say thanks for giving them a chance to play the game they love and missed so much! Way to go Cats!
Harvest Boxes for Meals on Wheels
Our Wildcats had a great time buying food and supplies for the Meals on Wheels program. They purchased the items then built the Harvest Boxes for the citizens of Collin County who can't go out on their own. Of course being the competitive athletes that we are we made a contest on the best decorated box with the winner getting to plan practice for a day! The winning box was made by Junior Mackenzie Velasquez and her 'little sis' Stephanie Register! Congrats ladies I think we all won this one!

| TAKS Tutoring at Shepard Elementary
The Wildcats for 2010 have stepped up to the plate once again in the community to help students at Shepard Elementary with TAKS Tutoring. Players from the Wildcat Varsity and JV teams have been helping students at Shepard to better their skills in math. Players have come back enthusiastic about the tutoring with comments like "They understand fractions!!!" and "What a breeze compared to Calculus!!!". The Shepard Elementary team appreciates the Wildcats Softball team putting a good foot forward in the community to help their students with the TAKS Math studies. |
